If you've never been to Blade...

Does anyone know the hours of blade? I am looking to stay the first and maybe second night. So I need to get a flight down there. I'd prefer to be there at the start. Thanks a lot.

Friday June 4th (12:00pm to 2:00pm VIP ONLY) 2:00pm to 7:00pm
Saturday June 5th 8am to 6:00 pm
Sunday June 6th 8:00 am to 4:00pm

Believe me, Paddling Man will never forget the Ron pics.

Like a healthy case of venereal herpes, this just continues to recur. At least in the herpes ads there is a cute chick in a kayak. :D

This one? More like below...

PM,

Thats okay...it is now a Busse Combat legend:thumbup::thumbup:

You made history:):) that is a good thing

So did PeeWee Herman in a FL theater, though. ;) LOL

BTW -

Guyon trying to convince to get a look at my rear.

Amy AFTER she convinced me... what can I say? Amy is a lot cuter than Guyon. :)

Did Paddling Man just compare Ron's backside to a case of herpes? I smell trouble brewin' at the Busse booth. :D

I guess that back pack isn't full of Prophylactics for nothing.

I passed them out in the Pit as part of my mission work. During Blade, that place is a bastion of savage micro-organisms.

So that no one else gets burned, here's that close-up again for contrastive purposes.

And here's PM being put to the test after downing a few...

That's resinguy getting his own "contrastive" shot. Careful where you're pointing that cigar, Guy!

What kind of kayak magazines do you read? :p

Speaking of yaks, I finally used the long boat for an overnighter and am already planning the next trip.

No, Tony, this line isn't sexual innuendo--although "long boat" would be perfectly appropriate.

Paddling Man is actually my sea kayaking consultant.

And, "yes" Tony. I do have a loooong boat. At least compared to others.

(Hey, Guyon. Where is that from? We might just need to do a trip late this summer. Meet somewhere South of me and North of you?)

That's Percy Priest, which is just east of Nashville.

Just glancing at big water around Louisville, I see Pakota Lake in the Hoosier National Forest and Taylorsville Lake which is adjacent to Taylorsville Lake State Park.

THAT'S why my arms get so tired. :p

Most of the river runs I do around here, I use a lot smaller, recreational yak. But I've contemplated some river time with the sea kayak.

Some of you guys don't realize it, but all the kayak talk is really code for what goes on at Blade.

The Dagger Apostle has good glide for its length but is more difficult to turn as eschew a rudder. Still, the cargo capacity is excellent and I can make good time.

The Silent Knight is yours, I'm after the double-cut Nuke Heart. Bring kids pics and Clark Bars for Amy.
