If...

Either:
A knife, axe, fire steel, and a wool blanket

Or:
A hardware store, a grocery store, a library, and a strip bar.

Large Knife
Mag/ferro firestarter
Gortex bivi bag
2 liter pot

FYI SEALS are not survival experts per say, Green Berets are ;) .

Skam

These six items. I would classify as the 6 basic wilderness essentials;

Poncho / Tarp
Sleeping Blanket / Bag
32 oz Nalgene Water Bottle
Metal Mug / Cup
Sturdy Fixed Blade Knife
Ferrocerium Rod / FireSteel

but is I had to choose only four it would be;

32 oz Nalgene Water Bottle
Metal Mug / Cup
Sturdy Fixed Blade Knife
Ferrocerium Rod / FireSteel

My fixed blade
Mag/Flint block, or blast match.
Tarp
Sawyer extractor (snake bite is usually survivable anyway.. but your a lot better off taking out as much venom as you can)

4 wilderness survival experts that looked like Danni Ashe, Lorna Morgan, Catherine Bell and Nicole Peters and that had a full amount of supplies.

locking sak with saw
firesteel
coffee can
poncho

i'll take lara over angelina. she carries guns

Hi All-

My four items are as follows. Hard to believe some haven't been mentioned yet:
  • Water
  • Food
  • Shelter
  • Clothes

What do you do when you have drank all of your water, eaten all of your food, worn out your clothes and your shelter burns down?

Hence why most of us list the "tools" to supply those things!

Heavy bladed knife (works as knife or ax, such as the Coldsteel SRK

Stainless steel cup (you can cook any thing in liquid in this)

1/2 gallon water container (holds plenty of water for a couple few days if needed)

9X12 plastic tarp (keeps the elements off in a quick set up, or moving materials for setting up a shelter with debri)
