Ignore List Question...

I am going to ask this here because it is ultimately where it would end up should it happen. If someone doesn't like it here, simply move it to where it should be.

Question is: If you have someone on your ignore list, and that person makes the first "I'll Buy It" post in your forsale/trade/ listing and you choose to continue to ignore, and sell it to someone that makes a later post. Whats gonna be the fallout here in G,B,U or W&C?

Pack Rat, it's your sale and you decide who gets it. If you dislike someone enough to put them on Ignore, or even if the first "I'll buy it" comes from someone new and suspect, you are under NO obligation to sell it to them.

If your best friend is, say, the third one in line for it, you can even go ahead and sell it to him. (To keep everyone happy, he should email you instead of posting late online that he wants it. )

But it's your choice who to sell it to, and you don't even have to justify that decision. Going by 'the first I'll buy it' only simplifies matters for everyone all else being equal.

Nothing. You're not obligated to sell to anyone. The people on my ignore list are there because 1) they post idiotic or irresponsible crap on the forums, 2) character issues, either in their dealings with me or other people, or even comments on this forum about acceptable behavior, etc., or 3) I just don't like them.

Absolutely. It does come up periodically, when someone who did not get the buy or trade he wanted was sure he was the first response. Sometimes they get pretty demanding about it.

It happens. Sometimes because the seller did not want to do business with him, sometimes because the seller did not see his response, like an email that didn't go through. (Which is why I try to remember to email and post online.)

But forum etiquette only requires we deal courteously with each other. No one is entitled to tell you to whom to sell your properrty.

Ok,, Thanks Guys!!!

I just don't come here enough to have seen it, as yet. I wouldn't have a problem telling someone that they were on my ignore list for personal reasons, that might post a complaint. Then just let them deal with it. If they got insistent, an offline discussion wouldn't bother me either.
