I own the scout model and was disappointed it does not have the scandi grind. I am looking at the traditional model and the hunter (cheapest model). Do these two models have scandi grinds and are they good knives like a helle knife?

They certainly appear to have a Scandi grind...

Do they have a microbevel? Many Scandi knives do. Helps maintain the edge. Its a good thing.

Jarvenpaa makes excellent knives by the way. Certainly comparable with Helle (they also make excellent knives).

I own the Jarvenpaa Aito Puukko. Beautiful knife, pure function.

You are correct. The second bevel is the smallest bevel I have ever seen. That clears it up. I thought it wasn't scandi because of the micro bevel. Thank you.

No problem. I'd love to see a pic of your knife....love them stacked leather handles.

Here's my Jarvenpaa...its got the stacked birch bark handle...(it also came with a small microbevel)
