IL Hog Fest?!?!?!?!?!

How far from Detroit? Hmm. I had to fly to Detroit to get training once. Run a mapquest from you to 1530 East Sangamon Ave. Springfield, IL 62702. JubileeBoar if you can make it, you are definitely welcome brother. That goes for anyone, if you are willing to make the drive, bring it! Just let me know so I can figure out how much meat I need.

I was thinking something like 11 or noon. That would give folks time to travel or what not and still let them get home at a decent hours after visiting. I'll probably have nearly my whole collection there for show and tell, but I will be patting you bastids down before you leave! :D

I am going to get the pork together this week so if you guys can let me know if you are coming for sure by Tuesday, that will help me out a bunch.

If you want to bring a dish, great if not, no big deal. I was considering how much to charge for the pork and stuff and I am still not sure. I am inclined to let you pay what what you think it is worth. Also I have draft and bottled beer available, besides soft drinks. We redid the bar room in august. So there is a pool table ($1 per rack) and a juke box to mess with if you feel so inclined. I hope some folks decide to show since I can't go to Knob Creek, this will have to do for me. If you want more details, drop me an email.

Kev I have you down for sure. Dead Head Archer, I have you chalked up for it as well. If no one else comes we will have a pork feast and be so stuffed we'll have to roll out to the cars!

I bought the pork today. I'll smoke it tomorrow and get it in the cooker on Saturday morning, let it slow cook all day long.

So far it is Strabs and Jody (I am guessing), Deadhead Archer and Myself confirmed. Anyone else?

Be cool if some others would like to make it...I wouldn't want to put the Progunner clan out just for a little visit from yours [piglet] truly...
 
I'm afraid I won't be able to make it, though I relly appreciate the offer. The bloody Cardinals won't lose and it makes my work-life hard. If I'm lucky I'll make Friday morning at Knob Creek but that's probably it.

Man it seemed like there was al lot more interest in this earlier. If I can't get at least 10 or 15 folks interested, I may just call it off and try to do it another day down the road. No big deal guys, if it doesn't come together, then we'll all get together in GA in June or somewhere there is a trough to be rooted around in. :)
