This is whole entire thing is just the stupidest most retarded, blatant example of ignorant people in power trying to take away the rights of citizens. It's absolutely sickening to read the quotes from the police and attorneys in the articles I've read about this. And the most aggravating part may be, they're all just making up **** as they go along! :barf: :barf: :barf:

Peoria county is where Peoria is located. Its across the Illinios river from Tazewell county. Chicago has its own and very strict knife regulations due I believe to its home rule nature. I agree with your view of the non-switchblade nature of the knives in question, but I'm not an attorny and the truth is single hand opening knives are questioned by some police and enforcement agencies. Illinios generally has reasonable knife and knife carry laws. No restrictions on blade type (single endge, double edge, dagger, etc) blade carry( open, concealed)or type. The laws are much tougher on you, howerver; if you commit a crime while in posession of a weapon.
