I'll be watching the mail box closely for a few days.

If anybody else gets a 112 with the 87 Three Dot Stamp (**>*) let me know.....

I got one and I want to know if I have a one of a kind.

Since only 50 were made and they were all supposed to have plain 1988 stamps.....I'm thinking not many of the **>* stamps went out.

:)

Great looking blades in those 112's, Dave.

Thanks ed, I like them myself, I've always liked the mirror polished blades. I wish they had done the 110's the same way. I'm not a fan of the black blades on them. It would have been cool to have a matched set of 110 and 112 with the ebony scales and polished blades.

My web specials order is "out for delivery" so they will be here later today. I'm really looking forward to getting the burl wood Gen-5.

The web specials showed up late yesterday evening and although I'm fairly pleased with the Gen-5, I have to say the burl isn't even close to looking like the illustration on the website which is disappointing. The guard is NS also and not brass (that's a good thing for me) as shown either. The knife turns out to be an LE in the large black LE box with a COA that says it was made exclusively for Cabela's (dated 11-12-2008).

That wood may look different, but to me it looks better than the wood on the website knife.

Everyone has different tastes it seems. I still prefer the burl in the illustration, but the upside is that the one I received makes a pretty good match for my buckeye 110.

Just a quick heads up for anyone who missed out on ordering one of the Gen-5s on the web specials page....they're back!! :)

I was just looking over the page and was surprised to see these listed again.

I had noticed that too.... Musta found another stash of them as it seems to quick for them to be returns....
