It is in the state of Illinois. I have lived in this state my entire life, and the amount of ignorance of what the laws in this state actually say and what police actually do and get away with is amazing!

I once pointed out to a sheriff's deputy where it is legal in Il. to possess a gun on PUBLIC lands while "a liscensed fisher, trapper or hunter, while engaged in the acts thereof"

His reply "I don't give a **** what the law says, if I catch somebody standing on the bank of a PUBLIC lake wearing a gun he's going to jail"!
