I'm afraid to post this up....

wh4f, no, don't get a 2nd and 3rd job since you won't have time to play with the knives.
VERY good point!

maybe we need to start a payment plan or layaway program? :D

There goes the kids college funds ;)

That'll be excellent for EMS, hunters, hikers, and anyone else who doesn't want to risk losing their RC3 if they drop it!

Should be great fo any woods activity, and it will match my blaze orange for deer season ;)

I like it alot. Easy to find in the Forest/Jungle. That would be a great option. Are the liners red?

Awesome, Jeff!
Any chance of the scales being available seperatley? I would love to be able to switch them around.

We used some Tramontina machetes in Peru with bright orange handles and that sold me. The machetes with black handles disappeared as usual within 10 feet if you didn't know exactly where you let it. The orange handles ones could be spotted at a glance from across a campsite 30 yards away. If anybody knows of orange micarta holler. The G10 is the only thing we've found. Even if we find orange micarta I am not so sure that it won't fade out like most micarta colors are disposed to do.

We got the same machetes Mike. Perfect addition to them.
Justin at Ranger used orange micarta at one time.

I tend to greatly prefer green canvas micarta or wood handles.

But I find myself. . .

. . . strangely attracted to that, black blade and all.

Man, I'd probably have to get both a black and green bladed one just to see which I like more.

I'm turning into such a knife whore.

I really like the orange, and the lime green sounds interesting as well. The only problem is paying for a different color knife every time one comes out.

Maybe in the future, you could offer handle scales of different colors and materials as an option. It would also be good for user knives a year or two old. It would be like breathing new life into an old knife, not to mention saving $$$.

We're working on something that may help everyone out on changing handle colors. No guarantees at this point but we're working on an idea. The reason we don't offer different color scales for user installation is we "marry" a set of handles to a knife in the production process for a perfect fit. For example, this set of orange slabs that Rowen shipped to me has a very slight mis-fit on the RC-3 I put them on (the knife is slightly larger overall than the slabs). Hard to see but still not perfect enough for what we would want to go to the customer.

Now that's customer service (again)!

The more I look at it, the more I find myself attracted to it.

I could see it being stuck on my rangemaster gear or on the side of my gear bag for a quick find.

It would definitely be a nice in-camp blade for the visual purposes and an orange hunting season blade as well...

Hmm...

Maybe even an orange RC-4?

That would be perfect EMS knife. I was looking into purchase of RC3 but now I wait. Pretty pretty slick. I take one for sure with black sheath. It is what I was looking for for a long time.

I will buy a black blade, orange handle RC-3 right off the bat! You will sell one to me for sure! Black sheath preferred with this combo.

I'm really digging those orange handles. That would be perfect on the RC4! Any chance of that combo?

Depending on time frame till those would be ready, I think orange-handled RC4's would be perfect for the WSS kit knives that Spark was thinking of.

That'll be excellent for EMS, hunters, hikers, and anyone else who doesn't want to risk losing their RC3 if they drop it!

I think it looks great!

+1. I'd be down for an RC-4 and/or RC-6, plain edge with orange scales. coating color doesn't matter too much, but green or tan would be keen.

Dang it... You put those Orange scales on the wrong model... You were supposed to put them on the Sere... You see what you've started?
