Although I often thought about it, I never climbed Half-Dome. My brother-in-law did ... told me it took real skill and nerve to make it to the top.

If you can recognize her son in a photo I’m uncomfortable with posting it on the internet and that is why I'll blur the face, and even then it won't be up long.

I’m not concerned about forum members but rather everyone else on the internet.

I have told this story many times and it is a good one:

When I first met her (woman in the photo) I had asked if she had ever been to the top of Half Dome and she said yes. I asked how long it took round trip. And she said two full days and I looked puzzled because I usually do that hike in about 10-12 hours so I said something like:

“Oh so you camped on the way.” And she said

“Oh? Oh no!!…. I didn’t hike I climbed the face.”

So occasionally I unleash her on my male friends that "climb".
