I'm done for awhile

It won't hold an edge forever but the thin hollow grind will slice. And the lockup on mine was rock solid, I could white knuckle till I was blue in the face. Heavy, but a good worker for $30.

I'm in the same boat. No new knives due to lack of funds.

I've slowed down on my knife purchases quite a bit. I am pretty happy with my collection at this point. I don't want to get rid of any more after selling off a few and I don't have much room in the case for new acquisitions. My interests have moved on to firearms for the moment. Did I mention I was waiting on a couple of customs to be finished? :D

Yep...me too! I do not hate the Buck 110, but there are a lot of better choices out there. For occasional use it should work out ok.!!

I don't think it is that hard to quit buying knives. I've done it dozens of times.

Each time I quit buying knives I last about three weeks, then I find something new that I "need" and go completely overboard.

For example, I met a couple of knifemakers at a horse show a couple of weeks ago. I had a knife made by one of them that I considered my best blade and had taken it everywhere with me. They showed me some new stuff they were working on. A couple of days later I was the proud owner of seven new handmade knives. The worst part is that I don't regret it at all. :D

The same happened when I discovered Scandi knives (I`m not done with them, need a couple more Leukus) or Spydercos.

There are too many nice knives out there that need a loving home. :) What I'm trying to do lately is stick to a monthly knife budget, depending on how much I earn each month. So far it has worked well.
