I'm Getting My First Custom Shop Buck For Christmas!!

I'm so excited. My wife asked what I wanted for Christmas and I told her I wanted an Alaskan Guide 110. After thinking about it, I went to the Buck website and designed a custom 110 and decided on it instead. S30V blade, nickel silver bolsters, indigo royalwood scales with pins and a tan sheath. I'm stoked about this one. My wife said I looked like a kid at Toys-R-Us when we were ordering it
 
Congrats. I have always wanted to order a custom knife but always spend my money on something else. Hope you post some pics.
 
I really wanted the Sambar stag but that was a too much to spend. I got a little boy on the way :) and yes pictures will definitely be shown!
 
Congratulations. I'm sure you will be very pleased with your new Buck. Ordered this one last year with similar materials and it's one of my favorites. I opted for finger grooves and partial serrations just to have something different as well as for use considerations. A lot of what I use mine for is cutting plastic strapping material and the serrations do a great job on that stuff.

Way to go... I hope you post some pictures of it on the SPS... Last 3 years I got a custom Buck knife... But not year... :( :eek::eek: :yawn:
 
Sweet! I have been really wanting to order a 110 from the custom shop, but I keep getting distracted by other knives...hahaha

Not bad at all though this time of year is near the end of Bucks traditional "busy season" so I wouldn't expect a notice for a good while yet. I ordered a B&C Kalinga Monday night and still haven't gotten a shipping notification. It might have shipped and I just haven't gotten the email but I'm figuring Buck is probably slammed and it'll just get here when it gets here.
 
That's awesome, a custom shop 110 is a grail of a sort for me, still I think you'll like Buck's S30V, it's good stuff, those scales are becoming. I want to see pics when you get it.
 
Nice choice. You WILL be pleased. I bought myself a 501 with Indigo last Christmas. I liked it so much that I ordered a 110 with Rams Horn in honor of my 50th birthday. Really nice and gives pride of ownership.
 
Thanks guys. I have a spyderco native in s30v and i love the steel, but I've heard great things about bucks s30v so I'm pretty stoked. Still no shipping notice yet. :(
 
Good deal. Did you order it with expedited shipping or regular ground? I can't remember the turnaround time on the last custom order I placed but it seems like it was around two weeks, maybe three. I'd say you did well with 10 days from order to ship.
 
I just opted for the regular shipping. So I doubt I'll get it by Christmas. But just knowing its on the way is awesome!

Just wanted to let you know that a lot of times when I get my notice from Buck that my knives have shipped, they had been shipped a day or two previous. Keep your fingers crossed on Tuesday!!
