That's a beauty, I want one!

For bushcraft meaning mostly "wood craft" I like the BCNW better. The scandi edge is aggressive carving and easier for me to control without bouncing off wood or digging too deep to compensate. I like the handle shape because it feels strong and is versatile however I grip it, and I get less fatigue or hot spots after carving for a couple of hours using the oval shape. The knife is handle heavy so that also helps with control.
Over the other knives in the photo Kevin's would be next but I never liked the extended point and only made a couple of cuts with it. The F-1 and Bravo-1 are good hard use knives but the convex (hair popping sharp) just didn't seem as good as the scandi for wood. The Bravo-1 always felt more like a heavy utility or maybe "urban" survival knife to me and the handle felt good in only a couple of positions. Although, maybe by a small margin, the F-1 and Bravo-1 spine to edge blade width seemed to get in the way.
Since the BCNW could do any of general camp type of stuff that the others could do but worked better for me on wood it floated to the top.
What knife is that in the middle?

About time Mike!
Didn't you end up with my old Allan Blade Scandi Pack Pal a few years back?
I like the BCNW knife. I've used one and handled one a bit but haven't pulled the trigger yet. A little more than I want to spend on a basic O1 knife right now but you can't argue with success of it. I certainly liked how it handled and pretty much everyone that has one likes it a lot.
i did end up with that AB scandi pakpal... it was a pretty darn nice knife, but given Allan's bad rap, i felt like the knife had bad mojo...i was forced to pass it along..
Ya'll have fun with your funky-ground blades!
