I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse

OK, funny observation here. This isnt really against the Falcons, but it bashes my home town team the BenGALS *yes pun intended*.

Over the past year of watching NFL live on ESPN and of course about as much pregame as possible on stations like Fox and NBC, I came to a interesting realization. Besides the whole situation with Vick, the Falcons were actually doing better than the Bengals. Every sunday, you heard about how a Bengal was arrested, or was to appear in court or something stupid like that, and this was on the national shows, not just local stations.

So it got me to thinking, other than what Vick did, which we all agree was beyond stupid, what else do the falcons have against them? Well, alot has already been mentioned *coaching issues, bad players, climate ect*. The Bengals however are probialy worse off however. Sure there coach is decent, but not great. Their players suck *save T.J. Housyourmama and Palmer on a good day*. There were somewhere around 12 Bengals in trouble with the law, one now is compleatly banned from the NFL *cough*chrishenry*cough*.

Basically, after the 2005 playoffs, the Bengals have been on a downward trend, morally, and as a team.

Not much diference from the Falcons really. The biggest difference is that the Bengals are possibly the laughing stock of the NFL, DESPITE what Vick had done. Vick just insulted *general term* the NFL, the Falcons, himself, and basically all of Atlanta. His story has been beat to death by the media. The Bengals however, with post/pre season trouble already *another player faces suspension and a court date*, look to have the biggest questions of all over their heads..."How many Bengals will be arrested this season?" and "Will there be enough players not in jail to actualy send a team out onto the field?"

And people wonder why i like the Colts

Still, the arrest average of NFL players is like 1 out of 47 (or 45, depending on whose stats you look at), whereas the arrest average in for the rest of the U.S. population is something like 1 out of 23 (according to the FBI). So, it could be worse. Of course, if you limit those polls to only people making over $400,000 per year, I suspect the NFL may not fare as well. :D

You are correct. Vick should have been beaten to death instead of the story.

I had a Pit bull. She was one of the sweetest dogs a person could ask for.
My daughter at around the age of two could crawl all over her, pull her hair,
tug at her ears and she would just lay there like she loved it. Now when it
came to me, It was a different story. When I walked through the door after
work, she would bite the bottom of my jeans and drag me through the house.
Only after about a 10 minute fight session could I sit down and relax, then
we would take the fight outside. :D

It just sickens me that Vick didn't get more then he got. That and it is
possible he may still have a career in football once he gets out.
If the Falcons pick him up after this, then I will be a life long Falcon hater.
That goes for any team that may pick him up.

This is a fighter....:D

I should have left it open until they win...but I doubt everyone would want to wait until December 28...:D

obviously not :p

Aug 16th, Colts @ Falcons

im gonna say 38-20 Colts. If this was regular season it would be like 42-20 Colts, but hey, its the pre-season. :D

my scores mean nothing in this contest, but i figure i would just toss them out there

Now that's funny!!

More like 42-3 Colts.
I say the Falcons may get 3 because it's possible they could have a
good kick return and get a field goal out of it. :D
They didn't look half bad in there 1st pre-season loss. ;)

Kickoff is 7:30 PM EST today! If Atlanta wins it, the deadline for entries is 7:30 PM EST. If they choke, or just plain stink and lose it outright, we go on until their game on the 22nd with Tenessee...

Who will win a brand new Kershaw 0100? something great?

Get you answers in!
