Start the kid off right . Cut foam into the shape of a small anvil, cover with terrycloth. Do the same to form a small hammer . Have fun !!

Congrats man! It's a good and scary feeling all at the same time, isn't it?! My boy is almost 19 months now, and he makes everyday worthwhile. Make sure you get some grinding done now before momma needs more help and time from you! Oh and just remember, pregnancy should be considered temporary insanity! ;-) kidding, sort of!

Best of luck!

Man, the prophecies about 2012 being the end of the world must be true! :D

Congrats Mace!

Congratulations Mace!!! Prayers for you and the growing family, mainly for the family :D

Time to add more balance to life.

Congratulations. Enjoy every step along the way. Yes, even the green poop on the hand moments. :D They grow so fast. Take lots of pictures.

Oh, and my son just reminded me of something two seconds ago, laughter is the biggest tool to help get through tough times. I used to get frustrated when doing certain things with him but find that now I laugh and everything is ok. He is sitting in his highchair right now squishing a banana up and throwing it at me, some got on me, but when he smiles because it squished through his fingers it made me laugh. Oh well, time for a bath.

Congrats to you and your wife! Life as you know it is gonna
change, but for the better. With kids around there's no such
thing as spare time. Take photos because little ones grow up
SO fast, you won't believe it's possible.

Best wishes,

Bill

Congrats Mace!

My son's birth was a threshold experience for me! He popped out with a blood curdling Comanche war cry. While the nurses were doing their maintenance service on him and talking to him on the off side of momma's bed I was talking to my sweetie on the other side. She had just gone through quite an ordeal (like giving birth!). She told me in the gentlest voice to go and see to our baby boy, Mikey, on the other side of our bed. I walked around and looked at the poor little bugger. He was screaming like a banshee. I told him something to the effect of how phenomenally much we loved him and were glad that he had come to be with us (it was more of an energy thing with some words of greeting). That little blob of biology and spirit stopped crying when he heard my voice (we had been talking and singing to him all along in utero) and wrapped his teeny fingers around one of mine. My heart broke as I thought, you poor little bastard having me for your father; and my heart mended itself back together all in the same instant for it's as if he said to me with his quieting and finger holding, "Yup you're my Daddy. I'm in your hands. I trust you. I'm here." I told my wife I had no idea that I could love so much. She, being the amazing woman she can be sometimes, responded, "Now you know how much your parents love you."

Life's a trip Mace! Welcome to the next phase of your nearly unbearable heart-growth!

All the best, Phil

Congratulations! I came home from the hospital 10 days ago with my wife and son. It is a great thing. He is my third. Also the knife in my avatar was waiting for me when I brought my son home. Good timing Matt!
