For years my fixed blades have consisted of Tops, Esee, kukri from Nepal, Cold steel. It was more recently I decided to give Busse a try.. from what I had read it was amazing steel, but there was also a lot of stuff saying its just a sales pitch, many opinions of Busses infi steel are that its "up there with" good 1095 type steels.. a few times throughout the year we harvest the dead trees on the family property an my chopper blades get tossed around an beat under HEAVY use, they get little maintenance, an usually stay on the floor of the skid steer. It has been a year since buying my first Busse an after expecting to see very little performance difference I am honest to God..very very impressed with this infi stuff. the edge on the blade is just super tough
my blades typically turn to a dull "chopper only" an I leave them that way.. but the infi still has a usable edge after the same abuse
its expensive but im very happy with the stuff..Id say infi is the real deal
