I have fallen in love with "cloud" carbon fiber. I'm a huge carbon fiber snob, love the stuff, marbled is exquisite and my favorite.

That said I've got 2 examples of cloud patterns that are just sexy. Both have zero voids, color pops, it's kind of mesmerizing and has captured my heart. As a material it's exciting to see variety of endless possibilities.

So please share if you also love this type of carbon fiber or any examples in knives you have please show them off!!!

I like the look of those. On the other hand, I hate to be that guy, but "mesmerizing." Sorry, but I am a retired professor whom can't help himself. 😁

And yet, I may have misused "whom" above, or maybe not? Too lazy to consult my style guide. Ha ha.

Easy trick: whom is used where him/her/them would make sense. Who is used where he/she/they would make sense.

That is nice looking. Does it have the other characteristics we like in regular CF?
 
I kinda like it.... It almost looks like that enameled paint glops from old Detroit, that people use to make jewelry. Fordite.


Never touched it or used carbon fiber....What does it FEEL like?

Is it cheap feeling like G10? or nice and warm like micarta, or....?

It's kind of like marbled cf, swirled around a matrix. The black cf glistens in the light. I'd compare to Fat Carbon kind of, with just much more color. It's been very durable, dropped the blue one and it hit metal, no chips at all that I was expecting. The way Vosteed finished the green it has texture on the milled parts that feels great.

Not warm at all, more like g10 or just plain cf no difference there.

if you close your eyes, does it feel like cheap plastic, like G10 kinda does?


why do people like it so much? Actually curious.
I thought about making some scales, but I know it's a nightmare to work with, so I have been reluctant.
