I'm in the dark! Inova X1 woes.

I've been using an X5T for over two years now with no complaints.
All the light manufacturers have had glitches somewhere along the line. As long as the manufacturer stands behind the product, how can you ask for more?
I'm considering an X1 in the near future mainly as a personal/travel light. You can get AAs anywhere.

I received my X1 (new of course) back from Inova today exactly 12 days from when I shipped it. Not bad considering the holiday and the weekend. It works better than before and they included a nylon belt holster. Most exCELlent! :D

The one downside to me would be the cost of those damn CR123 cells but compared to what some surefire users use, i'm not complaining. :)

I get my batteries for free to run my X5T -- I use batteries "depleted" by my Surefire E2, which still have more than enough juice for the Inova! :)

My X1 came a few days ago and I've been carrying it on my belt next to my gerber pliars. I love it :D
Can't beleive how bright it is considering the size and the type of battery. Everything works great on it, and I hardly even notice it on my belt. I never realized how much I would use a flashlight if I had one handy either  Now I'll never go without it!

Is the Inova website up to date? It doesn't have any of the T series or the X03. Which color light do you recommend for the X1?

Get the white one. Unless you have some special reason for needing a different color, white is generally much more useful.

I got my X1 today. :D  They advertise it for 60 feet of throw....That's VERY conservative. Mine throws 100 feet easily.
This is one awesome little light.

Yeah I think that Inova's site hasn't been updated in quite a while, as you were saying there isn't anythign about the T series or x3 lights.

As far as the switch goes, I have been using my X1 for months on end, and it hasn't given me any problems. I have noticed in recent weeks that when I use the momentary push, it kind of flickers alittle, until you screw the cap on a little more. There seems a fine line from always on to momentary, and I think there is a lot of improvement.
I recently bought a uzi 4 led, and I think they have tried to improve the tail cap . It is basically the same system, but with a little more of a positive feel. We'll see if it holds up like the Inova's have.

I did the same thing James was saying about cleaning the metal with a razor blade. I used an exacto on my X1 on both the end surface and on all the threads. It did take off alot of anodizing material, and I definitly noticed a difference. I did the same thing to my Xo, but I didn't really see as big a difference or one at all. You have to press really hard on the Xo to make it stay on momentarily, mabye Inova has made some improvements on thier tailcap design.

Just my $.01
