Cold Steel Natchez. IMO the single best production bowie on the market.
this is just bad ass! i have everything in second pic but tai pan... natchez is just such a beauty! you wont know till you hold it and play with it... you will fell in love with it right away
Something that cuts, not just a wall hanger.
Want to be able to cut a hunk of meat off a deer or pig at camp, just for the man-factor, maybe even chop a chicken in half (insert joke here___)
I've seen a lot of different blade shapes, sizes, with and w/o guards, nothing has really caught my eye.

I have a couple of Bowie and Bowie-ish knives that I like to pack from time to time:
First is my largest: The Himalayan Import Cherokee Rose. 20"+ with 13" of it being blade. The blurry pic does it little justice. This is a formidable short sword that has earned its keep a couple of times

The next is my Himalayan Chit Bowie. This one is only 14" overall, but it's a bruiser.

Finally a semi-custom one made by Tirtha (a blade smith who works for...you guessed it, Himalayan Imports)
This one is 17" overall with a really substantial grip. Probably my favorite big knife that I own.
