I am heading from NJ to Oregon for Oregon Firearms Academy defensive handgun and wilderness training.

Heading out Saturday morning and I can't wait!

This is going to be AWESOME.

I am so glad I did my homework on this. At this point I have ZERO buyers remorse about these guys.

I have a good skillset to begin with, but these guys definitely have some skills to teach.

I will post a review of the courses as soon as I return on the 24th.

Yeah man, I know you'll like it. I took a three day course with wilderness first aid, and 12 gauge shotgun handling in close quarters, freggin awesome!

Have a good one!

Fonly, you Reserve or reg force?

Im between. Im Paid as a Reserve, but get a good chunk when in the field, but I see alot more training, and time out with my patrol than a reserve force. And I don't see armed combat out side of canada, I would be stationed here if anything ever happend in the country. :rolleyes:

I also do SAR with the military, natural disaster stuff everything a civi organization would not be able to cover.

Also have civi SAR, that has been great as I get a lot of courses for free, rappelling, ATV, boat All the bear awareness courses I could do. Confined rescure was also a good one.

One thing Im looking forward to is a the Hast Heli team, that is going to be sick.

Other than that, I get paid to play with mil equipment, trucks and guns.
Really fun!:thumbup::D

I don't often get the chance to fire 300+ rounds through my .45 with world class instructors to teach me how to do it effectively under pressure.

Kind of like a weekend golfer getting one on one advice from Arnold Palmer or Tiger Woods.

Followed by a few days of intense wilderness training.

Can't ask for much more than that!
