Till the 25th of June

I'll be in Anchorage, AK taking a few days off, cleaning the wax out of my ears, lint out of my belly button, cutting my toenails (all those things a knifemaker forgets to do) for 5 days and then I do the Midnight Sun Custom Knife Show on the 23-24th of June. I'll be back on Monday the 25th.
Darrel, handle these inquisitive bastids

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!

I'm planning on driving the motor home up there. I need to find a pic of it. If you haven't seen it, hang on....
Much more comfortable that an airplane, but just not as fast.
Any knife knutts from Alaska in here?

Why do I hear the theme song from the "Beverly Hillbillies" playing in my head?

Have a great trip.

Be sure to save your belly button lint. 30-plus years ago, at the "oasis" over the toll road I-90, they used to sell special little brushes for getting naval lint out. They claimed it was valuable for national defense. I'm sorry, but can't remember who buys the stuff.

Haven't heard much about diverting "BB Lint" for national defense, maybe the demand is down due to high tech. Folks here save it for an emergency fire starter, not much tinder in the desert around here, just sand.

Kit,

Welcome to Alaska. It's a fantastic drive north. You are coming at a good time, especially if you like to fish. The King's and Red's are in and their numbers have exceeded expectations. As a bonus, the weather has been great and promises to continue. I'll see you at the Show in Anchorage.

Drive carefully,
