I'm looking for a your suggestions for possible knives for my EDC.

Here are my requirements:
- Assisted or a ball bearing pivot.
- 3-3.25" blade.
- Flipper
- I like metal scales... Except for cast aluminum ones. Would consider other options
- It has to have an Upgraded to premium steel.... The 8CR13 MoV is the main reason I want to change from my current carry
- Ultra deep carry clip
- Not tactical looking. One big use will be doing projects with the grandkids. Clean lines.
- Prefer a flat grind
- Strongly prefer a frame lock or equal. So no liner locks or back locks...
- Prefer a lanyard hole
-

Whatchagot?

Edit:
I was asked about my price range and current carry.
Less is better but $150 Would be a stretch. $100 would be comfortable.
My two most common carries would be an Amplitude 3.25 and a camber that I modified to have brass scales.

Up until I read the "No liner lock" part, I was thinking the ZT 770cfM4.
Though it is black bladed on a carbon fiber frame, it doesn't come across as "tactical".
Another option would be the Benchmade 908-1501 Stryker in M4.

Aside from those, there is the Spyderco Gayle Bradley 1 & 2 in M4, Manix 2 in Cruwear, M4, and Maxamet, as well as the Benchmade Griptilians in 20cv, and M4.

Shirogorov if you can afford it. Sounds like exactly what you are looking for.

Admittedly, none has an "ultra deep carry" clip, but they both ride reasonably low, and if you email Kizer you can buy an Ursa clip for the Gemini that is a big improvement.

Kizer Gemini
Kizer Guru
LionSteel TRE

Boker Urban Trapper.

They come in a couple different sizes... get the petite if you are into a bit smaller.

Hits all of your criteria.

The Lionsteel SR2 sounds like it would work for you. Ticks just about all the boxes...

You have a few options in terms of coated vs. plain blade; multiple handle colors; aluminum vs. titanium scales; and Damascus vs regular steel.

The only thing missing from your list is flipper: these have thumb studs. But you'll get over it ;)

The ZT 0566 is pretty much exactly what you described on your check list . It's been my EDC for over a year and I like it so much a bought a second one in case I ever loose it .

High end steel , quality construction with super fit and finish and their customer service is great .

I have quite a few I would recommend but really comes down to budget. Let us know a price range and I will throw some suggestions out!

Spyderco Mantra 1 or 2. Bearing flipper, titanium frame lock, approximately 3-1/4" blade, thin flat ground from CPM M4.

If not tactical looking is a big thing, projects with the grandkids etc... and you need FFG, these are my "not scary" EDC recommendations, RAT-2 is pretty much what you want size wise, but you'll have to sacrifice some items on your want list. It's cheap and good, IMO.

Removed - saw that you edited to add your budget...and my suggestion does not (usually) fall in that range
