Hi, I'm new to this site and could use a little direction. I am a canoe collector and would like info on such. Thanks, Chris D

They are here Chris & very knowledgable. You might want to post on the Traditional Folder subforum where they like to hang out.

Hi and welcome....I am not a canoe collector but I find them to be a very nice design and wouldn't mind adding one (or a few) to my stash.....I just have the odd habit that it cant be a knife I am afraid to carry and use.

What is your favorite canoe?

I love canoes too. Best advice I can give you is hide all your money from yourself and figure out how to make your computer refuse to go to ebay.

I carried a camillus yello-jaket for a while. I am a big canoe fan, primarily because they ride so well in a pocket.

I have several Queen Canoes and love them. It's a chore to get a shaving edge on the D2 steel but once you have it it’s worth the time. They’re made strong but thin so they carry nicely in the pocket. And the finish is first rate.

I got my first Case Canoe in the mail yesterday and I'm a bit disappointed. It may be my last Case knife.

Canoes are my favorites. I'm not an expert though. Have about a dozen of 'em in the safe. I carry one daily.

I like 'em, too. Here's a quick review/comparison I did between a Boker and a Queen I have. One of these days I'll get some pictures up.

Sorry for the delay in responding- I'm still learning.
I have 2 favorite's. For all the ones I have used, from Case to Parker to Rough Rider and quite a number of other brands, I'd have to say my Rough Riders. They are inexpensive and really quite well made and nice to look at too. I too like to use any knife I get.
As for some I do have just for show, my all time favorite and the best canoe to just look at is the United Conquistador. Parker made an Excalibur and it's the same thing. It's a work of art and you can't use it! I highly recommend getting one just to display.

Understandable. I firmly believe they are over priced too.

Been doing that myself since 1979. Have a few I cannot use since they are too nice to; some are just a work of art...

You are right! I just cannot get myself to delete "canoe" from my favorites list on Ebay. Chris

I have a new Case CV Canoe that is very nice. Out of the dozens of Case knives I own only one has ever had a problem. It was a very small case knife with a weak spring that I bought online.
