I've decided to finally pull the trigger and try to track down a Randall model 15 at the blade show this year. I was wondering if anyone knows how large the volume of Randall's is that go through the show, are my odds good at finding one there? Are prices reasonable there? Any advice helps.

Most of the Randalls I recall seeing at BLADE are older versions, usually with some historic significance to it. As such usually a bit pricier than a normal Randall.

What Halfneck said.
They are usually on the right side of the room, more than one table will have plenty.

Years ago a couple of the big Randall dealers will have numerous Randall's for sale. In the last 5 years, I have mostly seen older "collectible" Randall's at Blade versus new production. So, it may be tough to get your Model 15 there. Prices will be "average". I have one with black micarta border patrol handle that has never been sharpened which I purchased at Blade in 1992.

Thanks for the information everybody, I checked the list on the blade show site and Chris Stanaback and Gary Clinton will be there so there are at least two dealers that I know of who will be there.

I have never been to Blade, but those I know who have say it's the right place to find knives of every kind, but not the place to go for deals. Prices are average to high. To me, it's worth a little more to be able to hold it hand before buying.

That's cool. I guess Gary Clinton is Tom Clinton's son.

Update: I talked with Gary Clinton of Clinton Knives and he said he had a model 15 that he would hold for me. His prices are good and always less than 50 dollars over catalog prices if they are over at all.

Nordic Knives always has a big supply of Randalls, frequently under catalog price, tho' they won't be at the show. Order time from them is also a lot shorter than going thru Randall. Picked up a copper mini-27 from them recently...
