I'm needing a new ESEE knife...

I have an Izula, 4, 5, and Junglas.

As others have said, the 5 is a beast. Too big and thick for general use but would be great if the stuff ever really hits the fan. If I were you I would go for a 4 or 6. I have only had my 4 for about 2 weeks but I can already tell it will be an all time favorite.
 
I would get the 3 mil. Best knife in the whole line up in my eyes. I take mine everytime I go outdoors and 99% of the time I need nothing more.
 
Any ESEE but the 5, -Home Depot sells better/cheaper crowbars than the ESEE 5....and they actually pry better. I look back at the ESEE 5 I owned and am actually happy I briefly owned it as it was a learning experience that taught me that 1/4" is just too thick for a "knife" and I won't make that mistake ever again.
 
Alright, after reading all of your posts and reading a couple more threads, my mind is set on the Laser Strike (that could change in the not-so-distant future).

I am also wanting to get a MOLLE back for the kydex sheath it comes with, but I don't know which one fits it. Is the MOLLE back for the ESEE 5/ESEE 6 also for the Laser Strike? The picture I found of the two look the same, but I am not sure if the rivet spacing is different on them.

Does anyone have a MOLLE back for their Laser Strike? If so, which one did you get?

Totally. I got it just to check out and test, & had plans to sell after the honeymoon phase. After actually using it a bit, I think it may just stick around. First knife of this size I've ever had, so it may be a moot point, but I'm shocked at how balanced and nimble it feels...and I like the choil.
 
Does anyone know which MOLLE back fits the Laser Strike's Kydex sheath? I haven't found a MOLLE back that specifically says it fits the laser strike.

I agree with this. The 4 feels too big to do small knife things comfortably, and too small to do real big knife stuff. Mine went camping with me once and I just haven't gotten around to trading it away yet.

I ended up getting the Laser Strike and a MOLLE back for it. So far, I think it is my favorite knife:)
