I'm Nervous

I've been watching your knives for a while now. If how they look finished is any indication of the craftsmanship you put into them, it should be a breeze.
Best of luck although I don't think you'll need it. Mark

Congratulations:thumbup:

I know all those people on the first facebook link; is that weird or what?

Congratulations Stephan, I look forward to seeing you in Atlanta. Good work.

CONGRATULATIONS

One down and one more to go

Take your best to Atlanta, and try to remain calm, you're almost there ;)

Last Friday morning (9-18) I went up to M.S. Burt Foster's shop to take my journeyman smith performance test.

for those who aren't familiar the test involves cutting a free hanging 1" Manila rope, chopping through a 2x4 twice and still being able to shave.
then the knife is placed in a vise and bent 90 degrees and cannot break

I am happy to say that my knife performed flawlessly and I look forward to presenting my knives at Blade 2010

unfortunately I don't have a picture of the Rope cut.

Way to go, brother!!:D

Stephan,

Good meeting you at Bowie's. I didn't know you had tested for your journeyman's when we were talking or I would have congratulated you in person. CONGRATULATIONS! Judging from the knife you brought for the IITH you'll do great in Atlanta.
