Hey everyone, today I decided it would be a great idea to start collecting knives, although I'm clueless and (somewhat) poor. My question to you, is which knife should I buy for my crappy budget of £20-30?
I really appreciate all comments, thank you!

Are you in the UK? That pretty sharply limits the knives you can legally carry, though you may be interested as purely a collector. I would start by looking hard at some Victorinox Swiss Army Knives and maybe some of the smaller Opinels that don't have a ring-lock. Those two brands are inexpensive, well made, have good cutting geometry and have several models that are UK legal. Another option would be a Svord Peasant Knife.

Yep, I'm in the UK but I'm interested as a collector, I doubt I'd
carry them.

SOG flash 1 (small) or flash 2 (biger) assisted opening and decent steel. Flat ground. I love my flash one...

Modern or traditional?
Fixed blade or folding?
Single blade or multi?
Natural material or man-made handles? or bare metal handles

One of the Spyderco Sprints would be what I would target for collection purposes.I Don't know if that will happen on your budget? There will be multiple HAP40 blade steel Sprint models released this year.Highly collectible models!!!!

Hi, Review the Mora line of knives, The Pathfinder is my favorite but there are more that are less expensive. You can find them from around $10.00 dollars US up. Mora is a Swiss made bushcraft type of knife. Very sharp and well made also they are inexpensive.

Like I said, I'm extremely new at this so if the options I choose are completely retarded, I'm sorry.
I'd probably say modern, folding, single, and I couldn't choose between natural and man-made.

That's a start.

What would you be using the knife for any particular purpose in mind EDC perhaps. The Spyderco are my first chose in a folding pocket knife. Most likly around $45.00 for a Tanasious, Thats what I carry every day.

Spyderco C94PBK3 UK Penknife made for you to legally carry....
Starting in 2004, Spyderco launched a folding knife model called the UK Penknife, targeted for carry in the United Kingdom where newly imposed legal restrictions forbade folding knives with locking blades.
