Hey all,

I'm new here and I just thought I'd say hi. I'm not a knife maker yet, but you probably know my boyfriend, Jarod Todd (jtknives). You have most likely seen the pictures that he posted of me modeling his most recent 2nd Amendment knife, if not I have attached one below at his request. :) He talked me into trying to make a knife of my own and suggested that I should join the forum as well, so here I am :D. I'm excited to see for myself what he's always talking about and I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome Ms. Fischer to a community of people that know more about accidentally cutting themselves in the hand than their actual hand.
Hope to see your knife posted on the forums in the next couple of weeks/months. ;)

Welcome, Be sure and post your first knife and let JT model it.:barf:
Just kidding.

First and foremost - Welcome to the Bladeforums.

Secondly - You have my sincere sympathies. Being JT's girlfriend is not an easy task. What with his heroin addiction and that nagging sore.....but as they say love is blind.
Stay around this forum and at least we can sympathize with you.

Please post photos of your knife progress, and welcome again.

Stacy

Welcome, Theres not a better group of people to be around for a new maker. I like your work so far ;)

Thank you all for the welcome and the sympathy, it is hard being jarod's girlfriend.;) I was thinking that for my first attempt I am going to make a buffalo skinner with a slight drop point, with a red & black laminated micarta handle attached with loveless bolts. the blade will be made from 5160.

She's talking like a pro already :)

Welcome!!!! JT's a good guy (at least that's what the defense attorney said). :D Looking forward to seeing your first knife, but on a serious note...JT is not allowed to model the knife like you did for his.

Just kiddin...Welcome!

Welcome! If your knives are anything like JT's we're in for a treat. Sounds to me like you're off to a great start. I'd sure like to be a fly on the wall for some of your conversations - discussing all the minutiae of heat treating and edge geometry! :D I hope you folks get along better in the shop than my wife and I do in the kitchen... If our friends and family didn't know better they'd be afraid the hair was about to fly. :D
