You don't have to worry about sharpening the balisong if all you're going to do is slip it. You don't even want it sharp. :)

The SOG is AUS-8 which is easier to sharpen. Go to the Toolshed and ask about that. Sharpening is easy once you learn how but there is a bit of a learning curve. A Sharpmaker would be ideal for maintenance, but a simple benchstone will work just fine for that Flash.
