I'm not a knife designer, but...

I've been thinking about the functions of different blades. The first knife I purchased was a CQC7B, and I liked it because the tanto point is a stronger tip for piercing. Then I read about what makes a knife cut...how much belly it has and what not. I'm looking at my Commander, and thinking, "hmm, the recurve blade is good for cutting...remnicent of a samurai sword." So I'm wondering if it's possible to get the best of both. There will be some compromise in function I would guess. But would it be possible to have a folder with a curved (or recurved) blade with a tanto point? If I had any talent with a pen and paper, I could sketch it out to at least see what it might look like (strange as it may look). I don't know about how practical or strong the blade would be, but I would like some opinions from those more knowledge than me. Any thoughts?

Joel, can you whip up a tanto-point Commander with your design software???

rfrost, Joel already has a recurved tanto point folder design on the market. It is the Vector made by Microtech.
