I'm not buying it..........

I dunno about you, but I am into just customs. I don't want every knife I see either. I do have a list of "must haves".

Not true! You only know me 'electronically' -- but I am certainly impressed, even though I only know a little bit about your collection.

You've got pretty high status around here!

[Perhaps we should issue 'Master Collector' license plates from BF...or even better 'Big Hog' plates from the BCS! Talk about status...]

I am flattered that you think so highly of my puny collection :o

Okay, Robbie....what are you thinking about buying today. I mean you've had a couple of days to get over the not buying thing.

:)

Maybe it is time to rotate your stock, and sell some of your stuff so that others may enjoy what you seem to be losing interest in. Then start over. I have done it several times before, and I still have great memories of some of the pieces I have sold, But my collection is better, and more "Mature" now. Things always get better that way.

I can see robbie's point of view. I have more knives than I will ever use. Most of them I don't. I have a few that I rotate for carry. I bought them because I liked them for the way they look, the way they perform and for the materials and craftsmanship. I just bought my first two Sebenza's which a month ago I swore I would never spend that much money for. Now I want two more. Do I need them? No. Do I want them? Yes. There are other things I could spend or save my money for but I need a hobby to hold my interest. Right now it's knives. I've had knives since I was 8 yrs old. I fall into and out of knives over the years as well as other "hobbies". There are a few more knives I want and once I get those, I will stop. The knives I have are for my own personal enjoyment. Who knows what I will be doing for a hobby after that. Right now I'm thinking of taking some of the knives I currently have and modifying or "pimping" them to see if I can make them better. Then again I may sell a few off to finance another hobby. But I will always have a place for knives in some capacity or other.

I just got back on knives. I was on pistols for a while. It does make it hard when absolutely NO ONE cares about your knives. At least nothing more then "oh that's nice". I dable in making knives but Im not very good yet, I'm working on that though. I do need to start with kitchen knives. The only knife I have to actually make people hand back to me is the H.A.L.O. Always. they start with "that's stupid, why do you need that?"... then it's always "damn this is so cool".
