I'm not even an electrician.

I'd love one of those and a carpet knife even though I do neither of those things. Lovely collections you guys have!

I have a few of these, here's my oldest...

Then a few of the black handled ones that were issue when I was in...

Also, if you'll permit me, here's a few that I modded. This one I turned into a single blade with liner lock...

And this one I just finished, another single blade, this time without the liner lock but with an EO notch...

I realy like the looks of that pattern. Must be very american. Not seen here in sweden att all. Are they big as a trapper? I have seen them here before and they strikes me as real hard duty knifes. Carbon steel and wood or delrin is nothing more than whats absolutly nesisarry. There lays a deep charm in the consept.

They are a little thicker and not quite as long as a standard trapper. I'd take some measurements, but my folks are in town and I gotta entertain.

Awesome knives guys. Thanks everyone for sharing their stuff.

I really enjoyed this thread. I have quite a few electrician, and hawkbill knives. i really enjoy cleaning them up and using them. Eventhough they are old and used they are not over used or abused. they are tight and have a good snap opening and closing. Lots going on right now, but I will be back and try to get some pictures.
This is a really good thread.

Nice collection. I use a Klein. If you don’t mine me asking where do you come across them?

I have a Klein one too. It was a beater I bought on ebay for $10 maybe 13 shipped. I used it to cut up some old carpet and also drywalling. It was fun to use, and held an edge even under abuse. You will find plenty of them there.
