I'm refering to Ranger 1's thread. My order and service from American Tomahawks was less than expected. It took over 7 weeks to get my order (a Rogers rangers spike 'hawk). What I got was a hunk of skrap metal on a stick. It wasn't sharp by no stretch of the imagination. It took more than 7 weeks to get. I was told to take it "off Line" to settle any differences. I did,e-mailled,even appologized to Mr. Prisco for my "online" behavior. But I got no response.I recieved my Rogers Rangers Spiked Tomahahawk in a coared board (a week end more than was promised) box it had tore itself out of (It sure as hell wasn't sharp enough to cut itself out of). The handle was greasy and dirty.the certificate was dirty and torn in half. I didn't complain because Mr. Prisco doesn't like complaints. I'm not impressed with his products or his service.

I didn't get the product I was expecting!

Sir,

Your order was well over a year ago.

I have one e-mail from you with no references to "settling differences" and "taking it offline".

Here it is...

Subject: Info on order

Andy
Hi,I'm posting as Stoneage on your forum at Blade forums. You wanted me to
send you an e-mail to confirm shipment of my order. It's order #10088.
Thanks, XXXXXXXXX (edited your name for security)

I asked you to call me on the forum so we could get your order squared away since you were not happy with the delay.

We have a 30 day no questions return policy. You never let us know you were not pleased. You should have.

I closed the other thread to avoid a discussion about "Montana", which I will not allow, and I made that clear there.

Bill,

Here is another post where you waited almost a year for another Tomahawk from a well known and respected maker, who is also my friend.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=234917

You waited approximatley 7 weeks for an ATC product, at a time when we were indeed, having problems, which have since been resolved for quite some time.

What is your motivation other than to just jump on what seems to be the recent "bash ATC for a year ago" bandwagon weekend?

Andy, just got off the phone with you. I thought you and I had very positive talk and understood each other better. I get back on the forums and suddenly I'm on the "Bash ATC for a year ago" bandwagon. I wish you would have told me that on the phone:confused: . As far as my problem with Ryan Johnson is concerned I feel it is valid complaint, if you don't think so then let me know and contact him, again we talked about that on the phone. Otherwise it is not your concern. I have bought from several suppliers on these boards and have been very happy with what I have recieved.

Yes, not all my transactions are posted on these boards for your inspection. I thought I explained my "Motivation" on the phone. If you want an apology, you have it.Lord knows I can't afford a Lawsuit.

Bill,

So there no misunderstanding to the readers here, I called you to to discuss the following...

1) Why it was that you never indicated to us that you were unsatisfied with your order a year ago. You said you had sharpened your RR Spike yourself with a file and had been using it.

2) Despite the "one year later", I invited you to send in your Tomahawk for a new handle and resharpening at no charge.

3) To inquire as to why you brought it up your dissatisfaction within a post about "locking threads", one year later.

4) To clearly explain why that thread was locked, about which you indicated you would re-read to see if your assessment was in error, which it was. I explained very clearly that due to a federal suit, the matter is not open to discussion on our forum or elsewhere, period. You were not threatened, talked down to, or treated discourteously whatsoever.

5) To express very clearly that I was not looking for an apology despite your stating it over and over, and to further remind you that you did not need to post an apology.

During your discourse, wherein you apologized over and over, where I responded each time it was not necessary, you indicated it was your "impression" that the thread was locked because it was "negative". You indicated it was your "impression" that I have a history of locking threads with "complaints".

Try reading with your eyes open Bill...and search for another thread on this forum that was locked because it was a complaint...find a single thread that was locked "because" it was a product satisfaction complaint. You won't find one. If Ranger1 didn't bring up "Montana", the other thread would still be open.

Yes, we "understood" one another on the phone. You level "impressions" and claims that are utterly incorrect.

I indicated that you probably had not seen a complaint in quite some time on our forum because we haven't had one. And, when we do have one, we service the customer, period.

As for Ryan, I bring him up in context because it is another instance of you complaining about a maker/manufacturer when...

a)you have a deposit on account for a custom order
b)I presume he is making your order, and when it's done, you'll be informed
c)Payment of your balance due will allow the order to be shipped.

You claimed he is not avoiding you and that you have been in contact with him. In short, you are simply impatient and like to post that you are a victim.

Keep this in mind Bill...when you level a claim, be sure in the future what you stand for. You sir, had nothing to lose by stating it was your "impression" that I have a history of locking threads. ATC however, is in the public eye every day here, and is proud of how it conducts itself. When you attack our reputation without a legitimate beef, I'm going to defend it, every time.

It has been a while since I have posted anything of substance on the forum. However I do check in often and keep up to date on all issues both good and bad.
As of late it seems that we have a few people who are less than satisfied with ATC or our performance as a company. Most of these complaints come from a year ago. However we do have some issues as of recent as well. We at ATC have been working very hard since our inception to bring an affordable and quality product to the market. Although we have had our share of problems in doing so. Yet we have weathered the storms that have come our way. We have learned from our mistakes and shortcomings. Only to continually improve not only our products but also our company and it performance as well.
I am not one to make excuses, so I won’t. All I will say is everyday Andy and I talk and try to figure out a “better” way of doing business. We are continually learning and trying to improve.
In closing, ANYONE, with an issue pertaining to production, delivery or product performance can contact me directly. Seeing as I oversee all production and shipping I would rather you come straight to the source if you do indeed have an issue. If there is a problem rest assure I and the rest of ATC will make it right.

RLTW!

....it HAS been awhile since he's posted anything of substance on the forums.

Prisco STILL owes me coffee. And JD owes me a reciprocal bar bill.

I REALLY do feel better now.

Except for Hummelbaugh and Spark........

Andrew: What is going on with people attacking you and ATC?
Down here in SC there are some "Root Doctors" that can remove such curses and spells. Sounds like you could use one of them.
Hang in there. Cheers!

Another ATC problem

SOLVED I got a Brend it lacked a little in the sharpness department. After one email to Andy I shipped it back to ATC and it was returned less than a week later So sharp it will scare the hair off your arm at a glance.

In my opinion ATC is a top notch company and they will definatly be getting return business from me:D

You have to try pretty hard to be a dissatisfied ATC customer. Sheesh.
