I and a friend killed a handle of Crown the other night.......I still don't feel right...never blacked out or anything bad........just don't feel right!

BUT I did find a local place with a huge walk in Humidor and plenty of Titos on hand!

Last night it was 18yr old Chivas Regal and JW from some weirdly-shaped red-labeled bottle I'd never seen before. Great stuff!

I just headed out for some of The Macallen, got about 4 blocks and remembered that MN liquor stores are CLOSED ON SUNDAY!!!! :mad: :eek:

I guess I'll have to make due with Dalwhinnie 15, Balvenie 15 & Laphroaig 10. :)
The Laphroaig is a bit medicinal with the iodine and all, but the smokiness and sea salt are very nice. Darn iodine, I'm tasting it again and I just started in on a dram of Dalwhinnie.

I think I'll start vetting all my scotch purchases with OP. He'll keep me safe from the iodine. Help me OP-ScotchHog, you're my only hope.

G - you funny Hog. You got great scotch, a cool pad in SF and all; but we're really gonna miss you at the lounge.

BTW, what was the name of the peaty goodness you let me try last year? I gotta get me some of that $#it!

To each their own; Although the price is certainly right, I didn't care for the peaty taste of Speybern as much as the clean, smooth taste of Pig's Nose. The first bottle I bought cost $37, but I bought some this weekend and was only charged $34/bottle. It's tough to find, has a funny name, and the specs don't "sing" (it's a 5yo blended Scotch), but in my opinion, of five sub-$40/bottle Scotches I tried (including The Glenlivet), it tasted the best.
