Im out for the weekend........

I was gonna say you forgot the beer, but looks like you remembered it! Maybe something for the wife if she doesn't favor ale?

Oh, and maybe some sleeping bags and pillows, in case the bedding at the cabin is less than clean.

But have some fun! Take pics!

HAHA, Im a germ freak, so my pillow and blankie are in the truck already. Shes got a couple bottles of wine from our local winery she is bringin. She likes beer, but not the kind I like. Petes wicked ale, and boulevard wheat will be in attendance.....

I forgot the camera!!!, I will have to call the wifey and make sure she packs it up!

I will take lots of pics, and give you guys the lowdown....

I've been to the Buffalo river. Fantastic area. Have a ball. I had a lot of great luck fishing trout there!

Get'r done!

My fiance (fun to say that now!) always makes fun of me for being a germophobe too! Hand sanitizer is your best friend, hehe. Oh, and I'm a wheat beer superfreak to boot! But Blue Moon is my first love...with an orange...

Have some fun amigo!

My favorite wheat beer is Tucher.

Orange huh? I use a lemon w/ the boulevard. Do they sell boulevard in youre parts?
I will have to try that dude. I m gettin thirsty now!! Im on duty so its jus sugar free redbulls for me!

I've not had boulevard or Tucher, so I am going to have to hunt for both those this evening! Not sure if they sell them here or not...

But you should definitely give an orange a try in the blue moon, makes all the difference!

Boulevard is a Kansas City Micro brewery, Ive heard of tucher though. Boulevard has several great brews. The pale ale is good too. They sell it on tap at Royals games..

 on the Petes wicked ale. One of my Favorites.

Matter of fact  on the whole weekend!

Sound like your gonna have a great time.

Good luck with the trout, as an avid fisherman I would like to hear about the gear your bringing, if you got the time that is.:)

Man, we'd really get along. I'm a big fan of Pale Ales.

Right now I'm on a Chech beer kick. They make some really good lagers and pilsners there.

Spincast reel, and salmon eggs for the trout, (+aditional lures). Tube jigs for the walleye, Ive heard they like the flourecent tube jigs down there.

This is true man. They really know how to brew a beer.
I used to get petes wicked bohemian pilsner. It was super dark and in a black bottle. Cant find it anywhere now though:grumpy:

Chech out Chechvar, and Pilsner Urquell (sp)

Mmm.

My liquor store just got a big pallet of Dinkel Acker too and are selling the 12 packs for 10 bucks. Edited to add that thats a German Lager.

I've never fished in Arkansas, but it sound like you will be fine. When I Walleye fish up here I like to tip all my jigs with either a worm or minnow. I find I get more bites. Also if you plan on fishing in the evening I find the Walleye feed closer to the surface. So a jerk bait or twitch bait that you can keep in the 3-6 foot zone will work well.

Sounds like a nice weekend. I stayed in a cabin on the Buffalo about 10 years ago for a fishing trip with my dad. It was a fun weekend and the fishing was great. IIRC the trout really loved the power bait eggs on a plain hook or these weird looking lures with a bunch of beads on the shaft of the hook.

Oh yeah, on a side note, the water level on the the part of the river we were on fluctuated about 2 feet during the day due to the dam. So I wouldnt go wading into the river too far.
