Hey guys... any idea if there is really gonna be a Busse Folder... I know, I know... two more weeks. But I've narrowed my choices down to three

Busse (If there is ever gonna be such a thing)
Strider AR
Crusader Forge

Right now the Strider is in the lead just because I don't believe the crusader is any tougher for the money... but I'd love a Busse... please tell me they're gonna start taking orders here soon. LOL.

I don't know what the rationale is, but I highly doubt Jerry will ever make a folder. That's ok; I have accepted it. Instead, I have 3 incredible custom folders, one done by a very talented and sought after Mastersmith. For that one, I am considering engraving and gold inlay (gotta send my folder $$$ somewhere, right?). Still, it is, and will continue to be, a superb user.

Well, unless Jerry steps in, we will never know what is in the works, any opinion by anyone else would just be a guess. I have lots of custom folders that do a great EDC job for me, so I quit wondering if the Busse folder will ever become a reality and have been buying what is available. :D

.

I don't see a Busse folder. Folders are easier to break than a FB and Jerry knows that.
But...we HOGS can hope. :D

Right now this is my Favorite folder,,,,, Mick Strider ~ MSC RC DAMASCUS ,,,,,,,,, truly gorgeous,,, huge ,,, overbuilt,,,,,like a Busse would be. Out of your choices I'd pick the Strider,,,,but the AR is a bit plain for me. For an additional $75. the SMF GEN 2 "MARSOC" is real nice , same size as the AR cept not G-10 on both sides,,,,titanium flame on one side, and it is'nt rediculously overpriced like mine :D .Either way you can't lose with a Strider folder,,,,,,built to be beaten upon..... imho

Check the Kershaw Zero Tolerance, IMO better ergos than striders and just about as strong. The ZT200 is a relatively affordable tank. The ZT300 is Busse Worthy.

if Busse had a design looking better than this I would buy 5 or maybe 10:D

now imagine that blade INFI!

If they weren't so damned hard to find at retail, I'd suggest an XM-18, by Rick Hinderer. I'm not a big fan of Striders myself, but...

Ronnie,

The RC is the ONLY Strider I've ever considered owning, and THAT one is a stunner. Kudos to you for picking up such a beauty. Now where's the Starlingear bead?;):D

I have a ZT-301,,,, very nice blade,,,, spring assited flipper. Lists for approx. $265. Does'nt compare to the Strider in strength or feeling comfortable in your hand. Of course I'm a bit prejudice in my opinion, the Strider being my newest folder. I like the strider better than the ZT . Both will do the job.

Check out this place http://www.truenorthknives.com/tnk_1mainframe.htm ,,,,,,,, Neil is a pleasure to do business with. Lots of folders for sale from entry level on up to insanity. Decent prices and fast shipping.

I've found the Hinderers for sale ,,,,,,,,, above MSRP ...... you'd think they were the Harleys of yesteryear,,,,,,,,,lol. Still got my eye open for one at a reasonable price. And I threw that lanyard on cuz I had it on my desk @ the time,,,,, gonna pick up a nicer one for it.

I don't post in this forum, merely lurk, but to me, when I think tough folder, with simple parts and comfortable handles, I think Hossom Retribution I or II. They are tanks, framelock with scales and real nice looking. Not screaming tactical, just screaming users...

zt 300's all the way!! i trust my family's life to them the same as my busse's.

CR Sebenza. Nice solid - very usable knife :)

Nothing fancy - just a great blade

I think there are many reasons why Busse does not make folders and personally I feel they are right. It would be difficult, if not impossible, for Busse to maintain their fixed blade warrantee for folders. I don't even think it would be fair to expect the Busse guarrantee for folders. ABuse a folder and it will break, at least the ones I have seen.

Come on out of the shadows and post more often. :D

Why not? Strider backs theirs up.

Strider and ZT have really good warranties IMHO for folders but S30V ain't INFI :|

I don't know about Rick Hinderer's warranty but the knife really deliver.
