+1Check the Kershaw Zero Tolerance, IMO better ergos than striders and just about as strong. The ZT200 is a relatively affordable tank. The ZT300 is Busse Worthy.

I think there are many reasons why Busse does not make folders and personally I feel they are right. It would be difficult, if not impossible, for Busse to maintain their fixed blade warrantee for folders. I don't even think it would be fair to expect the Busse guarrantee for folders. ABuse a folder and it will break, at least the ones I have seen.
Why not? Strider backs theirs up.
dont forget the srider smf.killer folder w/framelock.love mine!!

I pretty much consider the AR to be a frame lock... I mean the dang liners are like 1/8th inch or something crazy like that... I see it as a frame lock with scales on it... the thing I don't like about the SMF and other folders of its kin... is the one side of the handle being soild G-10 bugs me... I need metal on a folding knife handle... I know they beat it to death with a hammer and it took amazing amounts of abuse but it still bothers me that one half of the knife handle is essentially not metal. Plus I think the look of one side raw titanium and the other side colored G-10 is not very symmetrical. I don't think the SMF and it's kin have any lock strength edge that the AR does not. If it is... it's minimal. Plus from some reading I've done... although being able to push the locking bar inward on a frame lock by gripping it is a plus for failure prevention... putting that much pressure on the locking bar can expedite locking bar wear. Makes sense. With the AR which is essentially a frame lock with grips... you lose the extra insurance against failure from gripping pressure... but you gain POSSIBLE lock longevity because of the same reason. So as long as the lock is stable from day one... I'd imagine it would last quite a long time. Now the locking bar is most likely thicker on the SMF so it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. Anyway... that's some of my thoughts on why I'd prefer the AR over the SMF... not saying the SMF isn't awesome... just not my flavor. Plus I LOVE the wide beefy profile of the AR's blade.
Basically a folding Badger Attack LOL. But until that dream comes true I guess an AR will have to keep me happy.
I though I was the only one thinking this way, In addition the old school handles AR are way more comfortable. The only Strider I have is the AR, I had PT, SnG and SMF but sold them.
I don't know if you saw the post but some one here actually had a knifemaker cut a Badger III behind the handle and made it a folder with Ti handles. It was awsome. Let's see if someone here can search it.
Bravado, Why would you say that? It makes me want to call you names!!! I've been drinking and I'm trying not to blast anyone but... Strider!?!? Please send liquor and Humboldt Gold to calm me. I mean...damn. Brother...damn.
