I'm sick of all the black coated blades

It's for the times when it's not in the sheath. Then you can laugh at your opponent because he can't see the knife.

I like satin finishes and tend to only buy satin finished folders. But my current EDC has a black coated blade, only because I wanted to do something a little different. It's a Camillus Heat and honestly, I think it looks better in black. But coated just because doesn't really matter to me. I know how to take care of my knives so rust is never an issue, even in the humid NC mountains.
 
There are even all black coated wanna be tactical multipliers these days. Where can I get BT2 coated tactical sissors to cut paper with? How about a DLC coated potato peeler?

Stop now before someone listens. We've already got plastic potato peelers that peeling terrorists could sneak through air port security. The skies are no longer safe for potatoes.

I like satin finishes for utility knives and for SAKs and multitools I think mirror is a good choice (it can be used as a mirror, a signal, and cuts some things better).
 
Those who like the black should buy up the used, scratched up black coated knives because its going to look like that any way.
