I'm so torn....

i've head that the dkpk is one-handed, but it doesn't look that way, whats with the trad. round hole?

To conform with local laws the hole had to be made so that you can't open it one handed. Silly law, but most knife laws are silly. The only knife law there should be is essentially "Don't kill with a knife, except in self-defense"

For the OP question, if money is tight, I'd go for a utilitarian mid size, so the Delica.

Another vote for Delica, plus if the regular version does not appeal to you, there are also the Wave, G-10, and ZDP-189 iterations to choose from. All can be found for a decent price with some shopping around (or possibly some lucky Ebay bidding).

I would pick the UKPK, in orange. It is an endearing mix of high tech and a classic approach. And it's very practical.

how come you can't use the hole on the dkpk to open up the knife? it looks big enough to put your finger in.

is it because the backspring tension is so strong?

Aloha MichaelScarn,

Mahalo for considering the TRANCE...you could probably get one and then have it pimped by potterma...(check out the Boker Forum for this man's incredible scale work!!!). Or just run a stock version...I promise you one thing, you'll get a LOT of knife for the bucks! Yep...biased opinion I guess!

Drop Point Trance disco'd in the USA.
