I'm sort of obsessed with Constantly flipping open my knife and closing it!!

I'm worried that I'm gonna wear down the liner lock in no time!!

Does anyone else share this obsession??

For some reason I like to open and close my Spyderco Tenacious. I like the "click" when it opens.

Most people into flippers and other one hand opening knives play with them. I call em my big boy toys. If its a flipper its meant to be flipped. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes, now that you mention it, I think the click has something to do with it lol I'm mostly referring to my Spyderco persistence with this topic (however I did do it just as much with my Cryo as well).

I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering.. if my knives had a counter on it, which one would have the most clicks?

I think it would be my Domino. Lots of fun ways to open it.

This is a common occurrence, it is called "flipsturbation". It is a form of self stimulation. You don't want your blade to "chafe" so make sure it is lubed up with oil.
To help you "get in the mood", you can look at magazines such as Blade. If your significant other finds the magazines, just tell them you only have it for the articles and that the pictures don't do anything for you.

One last thing: everyone flipsturbates but we don't talk about it!!

Flip it and enjoy. Buy a new one when you need it. I was pretty enthralled with my first assisted opener. The thrill goes away....

I"ve have worn down a frame lock (CRKT Drifter) and a liner lock (Tenacious) and i'm married
Stayed away from "budget" knives since then...

A recent study has shown that constant "flicking" of your knife can lead to loss of eyesight.

Frequency , force and duration directly corelate to eyesight deterioration.

Further study and data collection has temporarily been halted.

Because I can't find my glasses.

Try to only open your knife if you need to use it it, or oil it. Keep it in your mind, that you'll prematurely wear out the lock bar/spring, etc.
