Some months ago, while discussing potential knife projects with our own "KnifeHead", Kerry Hampton, I mentioned a few patterns that I'd be interested in pursuing with him. My thoughts at the time, which I conveyed to Kerry were: No rush, no time frame, take it slow and enjoy the process.
Well, some time has now gone by and Kerry was kind enough to send me these images of the completed knife this evening. What a treat to come home to after an evening of pre-St. Patrick festivities.
Since I don't have the knife in my hand as yet, what I can tell you is limited to the following:
Pattern: Lanny's Clip (w/ thanks to Tony Bose)
Scales: Stag
Double Bomb Shield
Fluted Bolsters
Blade: 52100 carbon steel @ ~ 60-61 Rc (Heat treat by Tony Bose)
(Steel etched for resistance to oxidation)
Length: ~ 3.75"
I'll fill in more details in a few days after I get this baby home.
Looks like we have a budding star in our midst.
Beyond that I'm speechless, you folks decide...

(Thank you, Kerry. Thank you very much!!!)
