I'm Speechless...You Decide

Blues- That is superb.
Kerry did a great job:thumbup::thumbup:
Although I think you should send it to Australia for a holiday:p
Cheers

I'm not too sure how well that stag will hold up in the Blue Ridge Mtns weather. It should do alright in the Tejas climate though. ;)

There seems to be a problem - that was shipped to the wrong address. Let me give you my address so it can go to its proper home.

Lanny's clip is one of my all-time favorites.

Yer bad Elliott! That's kinda risky showin off a knife before you get it!:D
Looks great here though

There were a few firsts for me with this knife; first Lanny's Clip, first stag, first 52100. We didn't have a stamp for 52100 when I ground this blade. I also forgot to number stamp it with "1".

You are all very kind to take the time to comment about this knife. Thanks much.

I'm thinkin' I know you well enough, Kerry, that that knife wouldn't make it out of the shop without your being pleased with it. I'm sure that will be quite good enough. As to the markings, etc, well, we'll both know, won't we? ;)

Elliott,

Fantastic knife! Kerry, it sure paid off in Spades, hanging around the shop! What is so cool about this knife, is. (and I guessing), that if you had any questions, either Tony or Reese, would tell you what to do, instead of.."figure it out by yourself"!

I too really like the acid etch, and the Stag!! OOOOh. :D

I can't remember exactly how many knives I have made at the moment but early on there were a lot of questions. Not as much now, but those guys have helped me "fast track" through much of the "figure it out" stage. One of the things I have learned is the value in making a knife look traditional and not trying to put a modern spin on it.

Now that is nothing but pure music to my ears!

Kerry and I were just chatting about the knife via PM and he mentioned that he had had some pangs and difficulty parting with his creation. Also said that he almost named the knife.

Well, thinks I, since I never really cared for the name of the knife all that much to begin with (though I love the pattern), and the knife was mailed on St. Paddy's Day, what could be more appropriate than henceforth this particular Hampton made knife be known as:

Kerry's Clip

As Yul Brynner would say in the Ten Commandments: So let it be written, so let it be done. ;)

Elliot,

You know when you stare and stare and stare some more at a fine slipjoint knife many times over and one becomes continuously more infatuated with a piece of this quality each and every other time you look at her, that's when you realize the maker has really hit the mark.. Well that's where I am with this one. Kerry really out did him self on this one to be sure!

I think Kerry's Clip(or perhaps Kerry's Klip) is the perfect name and thanks for christening her as such.

Question though: I am not familiar with the Lanny's Clip pattern. What is the origin of this pattern?
