Well here goes, figure I better get back to being active around here. This is been a rough year with my wife getting guillain barre syndrome then finding cancer in the process. Chemo and radiation, She's had a rough time of it and spent most of the year in a hospital bed. 5 months in the hospital, then still bedridden when she came home. Only a couple months ago she still could barely walk, 3 months ago she needed an ambulance to go to doctors appointments. Today she walks albeit with a walker, yesterday she was able to get into our suburban by herself. With much prayer from many places she's making a full recovery, she amazes the doctors with her advances. So with all that going on I've been devoted to her, in the morning she'd have a nurse but in the evenings and nights I was her caregiver, now she's independent. So I haven't had allot of spare time. I don't think I've even bought a knife in the past year! I still love my knives but sometimes life has a way of showing you whats really important. So we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all y'all on the Porch thats kept in your thoughts and prayers! Hopefully I'll be less of a stranger around here in the coming year!

Glad to have you back and know that things are getting better. Sounds like you were being a faithful husband and She was being a strong lady. Thanks for the update.

Good to hear from you, David. I was thinking about you a couple of weeks ago. Glad to hear that you and your wife are forging ahead - best wishes for a continued and speedier recovery.

Welcome back David, nice to hear the good news of Joyana’s recovery. Continued prayers. 🙏

That’s excellent news! Sounds like things are heading in the right direction, and hopefully all continues to improve. Hope you get some time to participate in some other pastimes, but your priorities are in the right place! Best to you both!

This is great timing! I was thinking of you literally just yesterday, and wondering if I should make a post somewhere asking if anybody had heard from you. I figured you must still have had your hands full, and being busy myself the past couple of weeks with a declining elderly mother, I wound up not making the inquiry.

I glad things are improving for you and your wife, and happy you still think of us, too :)
