I'm still kick'n y'all!

Well here goes, figure I better get back to being active around here. This is been a rough year with my wife getting guillain barre syndrome then finding cancer in the process. Chemo and radiation, She's had a rough time of it and spent most of the year in a hospital bed. 5 months in the hospital, then still bedridden when she came home. Only a couple months ago she still could barely walk, 3 months ago she needed an ambulance to go to doctors appointments. Today she walks albeit with a walker, yesterday she was able to get into our suburban by herself. With much prayer from many places she's making a full recovery, she amazes the doctors with her advances. So with all that going on I've been devoted to her, in the morning she'd have a nurse but in the evenings and nights I was her caregiver, now she's independent. So I haven't had allot of spare time. I don't think I've even bought a knife in the past year! I still love my knives but sometimes life has a way of showing you whats really important. So we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all y'all on the Porch thats kept in your thoughts and prayers! Hopefully I'll be less of a stranger around here in the coming year!

David, I’m happy to hear that your wife is getting better! My beautiful bride and I had to deal recently with her diagnosis of stage one lung cancer. We were blessed in that it was caught early and the prognosis is excellent. My thoughts are prayers go out to you and your wife. Give Joyana our best!
 
Glad to have you back! Very glad to hear your wife is doing better! Life sure can throw us some nasty curves.

Great to see you back here brother. Tough tough year for you both. I’m so glad you both are here, over the moon for you both.
I can imagine that life now you will gave a different view on life- I know this for sure as I’m sure you both feel this. 😊😊👍👍

Glad to see ya back and that the Mrs is on the mend. That guillain barre is bad stuff as is the cancer obviously. My little brother is one of the few people to have had guillain barre twice. They say its almost impossible but he did and cancer in between too. So I know the row ya been hoeing. Keep on hoeing. Prayers sent my friend.
 
Continued prayers for your wife's healing with continued strengthening. Prayers for you also as a faithful husband. Thanks for sharing.
