Hello,

Recently I have been looking to get another EDC knife. Currently, I have both a Mini Griptilian 556s and a Para3 (I have a few others but these are the only 2 I use). I LOVE the Para 3, if I could only have one knife for the rest of my life it would most likely be the Para3. However, I also LOVE the Benchmade, mostly for the warranty and the fact that I know that I have nothing to worry about when using it. However, the handle is slightly too short on it to be comfortable (I have large hands). For a while I was debating on getting a 531 Pardue or a 558(Mini Ritter Griptilian) but at the end I decided against the RItter because I don't want to spend $130 on something that won't be perfect for my hands. Then within the last week, I started to look at the Delica, the PM2 and the DF2. Also, some ZT knives under $140. I'm looking to get an easily concealable knife, with a comfortable handle, good blade steel, nice handle, and the price must be under $150. What ever knife you reccomend doesn't have to be one of the ones previously listed but please make it fit at least 4/5 of the requirements I listed. Or should I just buy another Para 3 or wait for a sprint run? Thank you for the help in advance!

As for comfortable handle for large hands (yet a smaller, lightweight knife) look at Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight. I have large hands and no other folder feels as good, (with index finger in choil).

I was a benchmade fan for a long time. But for the price and materials you get on SOME of their knives, I rarely buy from them anynore. My edc folders now are mostly spydercos, mainly my manix 2 with g10 scales (I stay away from the frn and similar materials just bc I have a love for g10 and micarta when possible.) The native 5 is another great knife and ZT's are amazing, but if you did go that route, I would de-assiste the knife and make it manual. Good luck!

Al Mar Eagle Ultralight.

Weighs in a 2 and a half ounces, but gives you around an inch more handle than the Para3.

Al Mar makes a nice knife.

Why not get a PM2? If you love the Para3 but it's a little small for your hand, doesn't the PM2 seem like the clear choice?

What you are looking for describes the delica perfectly and it is way under your price. You could get several for $150. It has become my main edc because it is small and thin yet provides a full grip on the handle and decent blade steel(vg10). It is also easily concealable being that it is small and light enough to drop it in your pocket unclipped if you chose. You really should get one to try at least. If it doesn't suit your fancy you could always sell it and likely lose next to nothing.

Hmm...I agree with abbazabba above. If the Para 3 ergos feel right for you, then a PM2 would be the logical choice. Now that being said, a Native 5 or Delica would be good choices also. Your best bet is to get to a store where you can actually see how they feel in hand.

First off, slow down man! Use the Para 3 for a little bit longer! (I'm just as guilty as any others here for buying another blade just because I want one though). :)

In your price range, I'd look at Emerson CQC-7, mainly because it sounds like comfort and size in the hand is the most important part of your criteria, and Emerson makes a knife that will mold right into your palms!

I have loved a few knives so much I bought a twin, but in the end I kinda regretted it because I wasn't able to purchase a different design later.

Just for clarification, the para 3 fits my hand well. It is not to small. I was referring to my mini griptilian in regards to the small handle size. Thank you though I will look into the pm2, it's just a tad big for me which is why I haven't bought one yet.

My wife got me a cold steel code 4 with cts-Xhp for Xmas. I have edc'd it ever since and I absolutely love it! I love a thin profile in my pocket and the steel is awesome. The only gripe I had was when my hands were even slightly wet the aluminum handles were slick as snot. The good thing is they didn't tear up my pocket like g-10 did. So I did the gun grip tape mod I found here on BF and now in my mind it's perfect( I only did it on the non-clip side). It cost me $6 and I have a lot leftover for my guns. All in it's $70 with mod. I would highly recommend you seriously consider this gem of a knife.

1. Buy some AWT scales for the Mini. It adds the little bit extra handle the Mini needs and gives a much sturdier feel without impacting weight significantly. Wait until they have some blems to stay on budget.
2. Delica and mod it to a Lil Para with Boomer52 scales.
3. Kizer Gemini
4. ZT 0450
5. Native 5

I just bought a Benchmade Barrage 580-2 and a Spyderco Vallotton hoping them to be my greatest EDC's
Will tell you more about it when I get them.

I would suggest a Delica, Native 5, PM2, endura or the Manix 2 in g10 which fits my large hands perfectly

Look for a ZT 0808 on the Exchange

(The ZT 0770, pictured with it, is a good option as well)
Unfortunately, I don't have a mini-grip with which to compare handle size - hence the ruler shot)

Concealable+ big hands+ already interests in the Delica = endura. Seriously just do it.

Cant go wrong with a Delica or Endura. Probably have enough cash left over to afford some custom scales for either one.
