I'm sure it's nothing special, but can anyone help me identify this thrift axe head?

I'm liking the shiny satin finish, that axe now looks like a hybrid between the Velvicut Felling Axe and the Velvicut Hudson Bay. :)

I sanded and oiled it last night, and then took it out today and chopped down the remainder of my dead avocado "tree". I definitely need to learn some technique, but the axe itself performed admirably and stayed sharp. Here's the final (probably) picture.

Thanks for all the support and replies.

Great job Samot. I've got a Woodings-Verona from 1989 with a fiberglass handle and it's like yours except it's stamped "US 89". The handle has the original sticker that says made in USA as well. Really good steel on it.

3.2 means 3-1/2 lbs. three and half pound head.

prolly a Collins Homestead, might have been purchased cheap but a very good axe.
you lucked out.

Not proof but more evidence- Woodings-Verona also likes to use those round wedges.
