:) Hi everybody, I'm new on this forum but I've been reading the threads and hope I can get some advise on which Busse Knive I should buy first?
I work with Cleaner145 and have seen some of his toys. Which should be my first?

Anything I have for sale!! Just kidding, welcome to Busse knives, the journey begins............................

I would say the Hell Razor would be a good start. It's available right now. The Company store also has the Satin Jack Tacs, that would not hurt either.

That will be a fine start.

welcome

Welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy it as much as I know I do. Any ideas on your first Busse?

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm not looking for a knife big enough to chop down coconut trees, just something small and sharp.
I liked the Active Duty with black finish and Snake Skin Canvas Micarta handle?

Bout time we got some more estrogen around here! Welcome to INFIland!:)

"Estrogen" you have no idea. This one will hurt you. Not for the timid. :D She also forgot to mention that she's been collecting for a long time, and that she has finally discovered the Trough after waivering about the Swamp. I would expect that someone would remind her of the mandatory pic requirement for the new guy/gal's. Well at least the gal's.

Blchbld,

Think about what you want the knife to do.

Think about what you want to do with the knife.

Not the same question.

If you want a knife to look at and gain in value, you might well want a different knife than if you want to go camping and chop some firewood.

In the definition of what you want to do with the knife, combined with what performance you are looking for in a knife, you will find the knife.
Where form and function meet you will find the knife you are seeking.

Or even a muti-use knife like a Mr Mojo.

Matching people to knives is what I used to do, it was a calling.

Well, I don't hunt (the 4 legged kind at least) so I'm not interested in something to skin with,,,, I think. I don't want a knive that is so big and heavy that it's not easy to hold. I work with a hog so I certainly don't want a rat.......

How about a Satin Jack TAC, or a Heavy Duty.

The SJ TAC is truly a jack-of-all-trades, and the HD is a great little workhorse.

Both knives are regularly making an appearance at the Busse Company Store.

I think what you want is a leaner meaner street. Ideal for EDC. Maybe someone will cough one up for you.

Sounds like you need to hit up Skunk for a Heavy Duty.

New blood is always welcome in the trough. You'll get all sorts of good advice from these guys and you'll get all sorts of wise cracks too. I think it is indeed time for a show your mug picture thread, there are many new folks and we have to know who to watch for at the shows. :)

welcome!!! I think you'll like the folder:) . Company store may have Skeleton Keys or active duties one of these days. I'm sure some hog will give you heads up when they're available there.

Jerry, where's the pink crinkle coat you promised ??

blchbld;

welcome to da trough

as for your first,,,I would defenitly keep check with the company store and try to HOG up a Heavy Duty when you see one avalible,,you gotta be quick though, they dont last very long, but it will be you an excellent first Busse blade

welcome to the addiction.... personally i would still recommend a hell razor. it isn't too terribly "huge" unless you're a really tiny gal. if you carry fixed blades often then a 7" FB shouldn't draw too much attention. hope this helps.
