  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I never really got into the Beatles but I never minded this song. Gave it another listen just now. Enjoyable. Forgot for a sec that I don't smoke weed at the end though.

I'm just a fan of rock n roll. all kinds. from early blues start of it all the way to about the 2000s, then I lost interest in the new stuff. feels like the creativeness and talent died off. stuff I hear kids listening to now is boring, weak, runny and unimaginative to my ears. I dare call it lame.....

not to say there isn't hidden, from me, talent out there writing and playing.....there is, its just not getting to my ears and making it to the mass public like it used to.......

Recording companies have achieved almost total control of what the average person hears. Good stuff is out there, but it’s not easy to find.

Reminds me of what I heard about the Smashing Pumpkins being required by their record label to adopt a completely goth persona. Heard back in the day word of mouth, not sure how true it is, but it wouldn't surprise me. Never liked the look, but I love a lot of their songs. Not all, but quite a few from Mellon Collie. Probably not your cup of T?

I like several of their tunes. I’m a bit of a Mellon Collie myself.

Some of their sketches were legitimately funny, but they also did stuff that was quite offensive, especially from a Christian perspective. But even the non-offensive stuff, being British humour, was very much hit or miss.
