I'm very lucky!

Brings back memories for me 2...Last weekend:p We work out of my bud CJ's detached garage. He has an old stove, toilet (not hooked up to anything), his wood pellets for his family room heater, and an BUTT load of computer equipment. We have a corner where we store the forging stuff. We bring it outside to forge. We are in the process of reorganizing so we can build a workbench for our new grinder. Man I wanna forge. Oh well, maybe next weekend he and my son will be healthy.

http://home.comcast.net/~jeshern/garage.htm There you go boss. What are you doing here in Wyoming?! Sorry to hear about your down days. If my kiddo and forging buddy (the guy who owns the place) was feeling better I would like to invite you down, oh well. You could see how 2 guys with no talent (why do you think I don't show off my work here) make abosolutly UGLY blades. If you are ever back this way look me up. I'll treat you to dinner sometime.

I'm teaching maintenance classes in the coal mines and the power plants here. I usually don't get to cheyenne often. I take a connecting flight out of Denver and fly right over you usually. I do drive through Cheyenne on occasion though, maybe once a year. Do you know that there is a very friendly knifemaker in your area? Ray Archer is in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. He is as nice a man as you'll ever meet! Ray is a stock removal maker, I think. He doesn't forge, as far as I know, but he does very nice work.

I was hoping to get a visit in at Kirk Rexroats shop this weekend, but he hasn't returned my calls. Oh well, he must be busy with something.

That's not very far at all. I'll have to look him up somtime. My job takes me out to the missile field, so I'm very used to driving 2hr to a job and 1hr to another, then another 2 back to base. It does make for LONG days!
