When you get to the post you want and see the picture you want just click on the picture again 1 more time and the full screen pic goes partial size and has a black border and an X in the upper left

Then you can click on the little share arrow there to get the URL with the .jpg extension

When using the image symbol on BF, be sure you are pasting into the second tab with the chain link/infinity symbol

So I noticed today they broke this again on mobile (android at least).

Now they changed the url again

I can't see an obvious way on only mobile to get a direct JPEG link that works anymore.
Can go to the browser but is it worth the hassle? Might be time to switch...

IMO, Imgur has been transitioning from a picture hosting site to a social media meme hosting site. (Which is to say, their business model is changing.)

I access Imgur using a browser. Imgur has reorganized the site several times in the last few months. Each time it has become easier to publish a meme on their site, but harder to get to my stored pictures and folders. What was a single click is now 4-5. And it took me a while to figure out how to get to them.

So, yes. It might be time to switch.

Yeah browser is not an issue getting images links. Just getting an actual jpeg link on the mobile app. Yeah I could probably use a browser on mobile and switch to desktop but it's a hassle. I could just post the post itself on BF instead but I just hate the way that looks/works so I probably won't. Whatever ... I'll deal with it some day when it's important enough to me I suppose. Probably just post less .

But if you have your photos organized into folders, it's a lot more complicated. Because to use the folder system, you want IMAGES, not POSTS. If you just use POSTS, then you need to search through all of your images to find the one you want.

To see the folders you need to use the drop down menu in the top right corner to select SETTINGS. On the SETTINGS screen, you then need to mouse over your user name in the top right corner. That gives you another menu, from which you can select IMAGES. That produces the old screen setup so that you can search your images by which folder you put them in. I use about half a dozen folders so that I don't need to search through my entire 400+ images to find the one I want.

But like I said, Imgur appears to have changed it's business model.

So I tried again today. I can share the "post" and paste url in browser. Then open thosr images in another tab. Then copy the URL from the address bar of the .webp image. Then remove the extra stuff _after_ .webp (...webp?maxwidth...) . This works. Seems the forums allow webp. So there ya go if anyone is interested.

Yeah that stopped working too. I'm done trying. I'll either just post the entire album link or move somewhere else when I feel like dealing with it. Or use up my membership pics ..

You can skip Imgur if you just want to upload a picture and just select the “attach files” button and then select the picture from your photo library. Last, choose the option to upload the full image and it will upload. See screenshots below as examples
